  1. Thanks to everyone who has now become involved with Aftermath PTSD and discovering that Combat Related Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is indeed an Invisible Wound and to regarded much in the same way as a visible wound. Today, there are many still out there who feel they are unable to come forward and seek the help that is available to them. Indeed, many won't even realise they may be suffering as a result of their military service, believing this is something they are just going through and having to suffer doing so in silence. It need not be this way and never should be this way.

An enlightened public is always a caring public and always willing to help. If you can help then please help Aftermath PTSD by making a donation that will keep our operations going strong or directly help the dedicated charities that are listed in the website. Of course money isn't always the answer, one of the best things we can all do is simply to 'understand' and help break down the barriers that hold our suffering veterans in the mental prison that is CR-PTSD. You can help!

  2. Was great to have John as a guest on PhonicFm.

Loads of interaction with the listeners who called or e-mailed the studio.

PTSD is STILL an unknown trauma and hopefully this exhibition will open the minds and eyes of the general public in order to inform them of the "invisible injury".

Paintings by John & Raya are varied - warm and powerful.

The more you look at the artworks the more you see.

Thank you for putting this exhibition together...hard work i suppose.

Don't hesitate to visit the Exeter Castle before the 4th July.

  3. Only 15 days to go - How hard all involved have worked/ are working to make this exhibition a great success ( which I am sure it will be). I just wanted to say again, what you are doing is fantastic ( brings wee tears to my eyes) . What a great cause that deserves more recognition, and lets not forget the fantastic art!!! I hope you have many visitors and raise some well needed money for a well deserved cause. I would love to see this exhibition come to France in the future - many of my friends and colleagues would definetly love the chance to see the paintings here and support a cause which effects more people than we imagine the world over.
    Love Caroline

  7. This exhibition will be of immense importance in showing how creativity can transcend trauma. Art can communicate, where mere words fail. Really look forward to attending the exhibition. Thanks

  10. A remarkable website covering a subject that, as a result of recent conflicts, will affect hundreds of British veterans for many years to come. John McDermott adds great value and substance to the therapies that are being devised to combat this very real problem.
